Hello there!
If you just want stylish products recommendations feel free to skip all the reading part. However, if you're curious about my story and you're also starting or seeking to start a new chapter in your life, I strongly recommend you to read the rest!
You might be wondering why I'm writing this article. As a matter of fact, I myself am ending a chapter in my life.
I graduated high school! How exciting is that? No more " back to school"s. No more attending useless classes that won't serve me in real life. No more having to sit hours listening to a boring history teacher... But at the same time, all the fun part of school such as hanging out with friends, putting on makeup in the bathroom, mocking our teachers, pulling pranks on other students, skipping classes, going to the mall and other coffee shops during break wondering if we should go back to class, all of that is simply gone. Now, it's in the past, it's history. Each and every student of the year 2024, is going to a different place. All the people who we used to call our "friends" are going to start a new life on their own. Those same people might even vanish from our memory and will suddenly turn into strangers or "friends from the past". I don't want to make it too dramatic but how about our parents and siblings? Some of us are leaving everything behind: friends, family, neighborhood, hometown in order to build themselves a futur!
Like I said before, I am starting a new chapter in my life and I'm reaaallyyy looking forward to! In exactly 25 days I'll be moving into my new studio in France to begin law school!!! How exciting is that ?! And not any law school, THE well known Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne!
I don't want this to sound cheesy, but someone once told me "an end is never an end, it's only a new beginning". In my pov, moving abroad requires courage and determination. If you're not a driven and ambitious person who is willing to fight for his/her futur then what's the point in leaving everything behind just to start a new chapter?
If you're like me, you're leaving the people you love the most in this world to begin or pursue your studies, I might have a few recommendations. First of all, you should always have a positive mindset!
If you let fear and anger or any other negative emotion control you, you're off to a very bad start! These emotions are like a virus, once you let them get in they will spread throughout your body and it's really hard to kill it. So please, always look at a bottle being half full and not half empty. You're your own master. You get to chose your mindset and all the decisions so please have a strong mindset and always look at the positive things in each situation. Instead of telling yourself "All my high school friends are gone" say " This is an opportunity for me to make new friends". See how you can turn a negative thought into a positive one? It's all about having a strong and positive mindset!
For everyone starting a new chapter, I hope that it will be one full of motivation, excitement, happiness but most importantly one full of making and learning from your mistakes, self control and independence!
If you're interested, I can write an article about the positive and negative aspects about moving abroad, my experience, advices etc. But I think that for now that's enough for an introduction:) Let's get to the fun part!
I spent a week in Paris ( in July) settling in and trying to decorate it. Believe it or not, your studio should feel like home in order for you to study, concentrate, relax, have fun and feel safe and comfortable in it. And the key to accomplish that is to decorate it and make it match your personality and style. So let's get into it!
1) Picture frames
I'm a person who gets sad and nostalgic when I'm away from my loved ones and see pictures of them. But at the same time, if you're feeling lonely or demotivated seeing pictures of the people you love can remind you of all the beautiful memories you spent together and be a reminder that you will see them soon ( once you have a break or finish your studies) and re experience wonderful memories!
Picture frames do not only add life to your dorm, they give you motivation while reminding you that they are people who believe in you and your ability to become successful!

You can customize this original set with the letters that you want, you can create the word FAMILY, FRIENDS etc. These unordinary frame pictures are a creative way to add life to your dorm!

This customizable led set is a great way to add a personal touch to your new house! These pictures that you'll choose wisely will not only remind you of your loved ones but also illuminate your dorm! I definitely recommend it:)

The 6 pictures set frame down bellow is also a simple and chic option! You can easily turn each frame toi obtain another picture! It's simple, stylish and small!

2) Plants

I love flowers and plants, even artificial ones ! They simply add life to your house, even without the smell. Good thing, artificial plants do not have an expiry date. They'll decorate your home 24/7. You can opt for small ones, medium ones or large ones depending on the size of your room and your style. Personally I would chose small plants and not dangling ones, but the choice is yours!

This 2 set artificial plants made of ceramic is an ideal choice for artistic people who want their dorm to look less boring! It seems as if two tiny humans were sitting on your desk or shelf offering you flowers as a symbol of luck:) I would definitely recommend this!

If you're more a simplistic kind of person then I would advise you to consider this chic & elegant set:)

3) Candles
Before I start telling you why adore candles, I just wanna warn you: never let your candles on at night, when you're sleeping, if you're leaving the house etc. We don't want your house to burn! Don't turn on a candles next to your curtain, wood etc. Please! Anyways, I love candles mostly for two reasons: first because they spread a wonderful smell across the entire house and second of all because you can use some of them to simply decorate your house and not to turn them on, for example:

Do you need motivation? This candle is perfect for you! Every time you open a book to start studying, turn on your candle ( don't forget to turn it off when you're done!) and you'll see once you reach your goal or when you finish your study schedule, you'll have a gift ( petit spoiler: it's a gold bracelet:)
